Usually my work has no hidden meaning. I like to make art that is pretty to look at and that has no grand hidden meaning. I am not attempting to change the world with my art. This one has a little bit of meaning for me though.
The flowers represent summer and the butterflies represent metamorphosis and freedom. The lovely lady is sad because she has just through a traumatic change, an extreme metamorphosis which she is finding challenging to deal with. She has her wings, but she is afraid to fly.
